The International Service for the Acquisition of Agri-biotech Applications (ISAAA) has announced the opening of early bird registration for the 9th Asian Short Course on Agribiotechnology, Biosafety Regulation, and Communication (ASCA2026). Scheduled
for September 1-4, 2026, in Klang, Selangor, Malaysia, the course aims to equip Asian agri-biotech players with essential policy and regulatory expertise. Organized in collaboration with MABIC, the course will cover topics such as agricultural biotechnology, global regulatory frameworks, genome editing, and public engagement. The program includes interactive discussions with international experts and tours of biotech research facilities. The registration fee is $1,000 for international participants and $900 for Malaysia-based participants, with a 10% discount available until July 31, 2026.

ASCA2026 plays a crucial role in building capacity among Asian agri-biotech stakeholders, particularly in developing countries facing resource constraints.
