Lumson, a leading Italian company in cosmetic packaging, has introduced MEMORA, a new circular design concept developed in collaboration with Krill Design and researchers from the Politecnico di Milano.
MEMORA aims to redefine luxury packaging by integrating environmental responsibility and consumer experience. The project is part of the MUSA initiative, which promotes public-private collaboration for sustainable urban development. MEMORA transforms waste, particularly food industry by-products, into valuable raw materials for packaging. The concept features a 50 ml refill jar made of post-consumer recycled glass and biodegradable bioplastic, showcasing a commitment to recovery, reduction, and reuse. Additionally, MEMORA incorporates digital tools like NFC chips to enhance consumer interaction and promote transparency and ethics.
