What's Happening?
The Yale Digital Ethics Center has announced the inaugural Digital Ethics Center Symposium (DECS) 2026, scheduled for October 16, 2026, at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. This event invites
PhD students and postdoctoral researchers worldwide to submit original research on the ethical, legal, governance, and societal implications of digital technologies. Successful applicants will receive fully funded travel and accommodation, and the opportunity to collaborate with renowned philosopher Professor Luciano Floridi and other researchers at the Yale Digital Ethics Center during the Spring 2027 semester. The symposium aims to provide a platform for early-career scholars to present their work, receive expert feedback, and engage in interdisciplinary collaboration. Papers accepted for presentation will also be considered for publication in a special issue of the academic journal Philosophy & Technology.
