What's Happening?
Embraer has successfully completed the delivery of two KC/C-390 Millennium airlifters to Hungary, marking the country as the first to complete its program of record for these aircraft. The final delivery took
place on November 21, 2025, at Kecskemét Air Base, attended by Hungarian Minister of Defence Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky. The KC/C-390s are designed for tactical transport operations, air-to-air refueling, and medical evacuation roles, with the Hungarian models being the first to include provisions for an intensive care unit. The delivery comes 19 months after the first aircraft arrived in Hungary in April 2024, and since then, the aircraft has performed various missions with a completion rate above 99%. Hungary signed the contract for these aircraft in November 2020, and they will join the Hungarian Air Force's fleet alongside two Airbus A319 airliners.
