Kathy Tanner, Board Chair at Lake Lure Flowering Bridge, emphasized the importance of recreating this space, which previously featured a dog garden and other pet-friendly amenities. The new design will include benches, trees, and dog-safe plants provided by Southern Living Plant Collection. The community has actively participated in the restoration, with volunteers recovering parts of the original bridge and collars from the storm debris.
