Louise Clarke Hough, a lifelong resident of Lake Forest, Illinois, passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on April 21, 2026. Born on November 3, 1932, she was the youngest of three children in the Clarke family. Louise attended the Academy of the Sacred
Heart in Connecticut and Bennett School for Girls in New York before embarking on a brief career in New York City. She later settled in Chicago, where she worked as an assistant at the Reynolds Company. Louise married John W. Hough, a Chicago lawyer, in 1961, and together they had six children. She was an active member of her community, enjoying activities such as tennis, platform tennis, golf, and skiing. Louise is survived by her six children, 15 grandchildren, and a great-grandson. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held on May 9, 2026, at the Church of St. Mary in Lake Forest.
