Felix Burkett Garrett, a native of Texas, passed away peacefully at the age of 96 in the Memory Care Unit of The Georgia War Veterans in Milledgeville, Georgia. Garrett had a distinguished career, serving
20 years in the U.S. Army with tours in Korea, Japan, and Germany, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer in the Criminal Investigation Division. After his military service, he pursued a career in banking with the Georgia Railroad Bank & Trust, retiring as a Banking Operations Officer. Garrett was known for his diverse interests, including car restorations, camping, boating, golf, writing, square dancing, and woodworking. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date, with interment at Magnolia Cemetery in Augusta, Georgia.
