NATO's cyber defense arm, in collaboration with AISLE, a cybersecurity company, has been authorized to issue ID numbers for tracking software vulnerabilities. This development, announced by the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity, allows NATO's Cyber Security
Centre to assign CVE IDs to flaws within the NATO enterprise, enhancing information sharing and threat response. AISLE's authorization is more limited, focusing on vulnerabilities in its own products.
