The initial phase targets areas such as Guanacaste, the Central Pacific, and the Northern Zone, which are significant for tourism, a sector contributing approximately 8.2% to Costa Rica's GDP and 15.5% of its employment. The deployment involves the use of 3.5 GHz and 700 MHz bands to improve network capacity and service continuity, particularly in areas lacking fiber or cable infrastructure. The network promises download speeds over 1 Gbps and upload speeds above 100 Mbps, supporting advanced applications like AR/VR, telemedicine, and smart logistics.
