What's Happening?
DIVEVOLK, a pioneer in underwater mobile technology, has launched SeaLink, a real-time data transmitter that enables divers to live stream their adventures, conduct video calls, and access mobile apps
at depths of up to 30 meters. The SeaLink system operates via a floating Surface Processing Unit that captures 4G signals and transmits them through a specialized data cable to the Underwater Communication Operation Terminal. This innovation was showcased at the DEMA Show 2025 in Orlando, Florida.
Why It's Important?
SeaLink represents a significant advancement in underwater communication technology, potentially transforming industries such as content creation, scientific research, and commercial diving. By enabling real-time data flow, SeaLink allows for live broadcasts from underwater, enhancing media engagement and scientific collaboration. For commercial diving, it can reduce inspection times by facilitating live consultations with engineers. This democratization of underwater broadcasting could lead to increased accessibility and innovation in underwater exploration.
What's Next?
DIVEVOLK's SeaLink system is expected to gain traction among divers, researchers, and content creators seeking real-time underwater connectivity. The company may explore partnerships with media platforms and scientific organizations to expand its reach. As the technology becomes more widely adopted, it could lead to new applications and innovations in underwater communication. DIVEVOLK's focus on reliability and accessibility positions it well to lead the future of underwater technology.
