Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Jane was the daughter of Mary Warner Parker and Dr. Robert Frederick Parker. She pursued art from a young age, eventually earning a degree in religious studies from Oberlin College and a Master's in library science from Western Reserve University. Jane married Howard Hush in 1964 and settled in the northern suburbs of Chicago. She became a stay-at-home mother and an active community volunteer. Jane was known for her versatile artistic talents, working in various mediums such as pottery, beading, and photography. Her unique pottery technique, using antique lace, became her signature style. Jane was also involved in organizations like the American Association of University Women and the League of Women Voters.
