EgyptAir has submitted applications to the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to initiate nonstop flights from Cairo to Chicago and Los Angeles. The airline plans to commence these services in May and June 2026, respectively. This expansion would increase EgyptAir's U.S. network to five cities, adding to its existing routes to New York, Washington, and Newark. The airline aims to enhance transportation options for passengers and cargo, leveraging its membership in the Star Alliance. EgyptAir's current U.S. operations include daily flights to JFK and multiple weekly flights to Newark and Washington Dulles, utilizing Boeing 777-300ERs and 787-9s.
