What's Happening?
In Wausau, several high school seniors have earned Associate of Arts and Sciences degrees before their high school graduation through the Rising Phoenix program. This initiative, a collaboration between
local school districts and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, allows students to simultaneously earn a high school diploma and a college degree. The program includes dual enrollment opportunities and academic support, enabling students to take college-level courses. This year, the program celebrated its largest graduating class, with over 150 students from various Wisconsin high schools achieving this milestone.
