The Homewood Village Board has granted a special use permit to Darshawn Hunter and Quanteisha Carter of Q and T Elegant Affairs, allowing them to operate an event center at 18027 Dixie Highway. This decision, made on June 23, enables the business to establish
a permanent location in a 1,875-square-foot space within the B-2 Downtown Transition zoning district. The venue, which shares a building with Woori Taekwondo, is designed to host a variety of events, including baby and bridal showers, family celebrations, meetings, and children's events. The business, operational since 2018, plans to focus significantly on children's events. Events are expected to occur one per evening, lasting four to five hours, including setup and teardown, and will be scheduled for both weekday evenings and weekends. Due to the lack of on-site parking, the business will utilize nearby public parking lots and street parking. Security measures, including cameras and optional security personnel, will be implemented.
