What's Happening?
The Sultanate of Oman has signed a mining concession agreement with Manganese Majan Company to explore and mine manganese ores in Concession Area No 25B, located in North Sharqiyah Governorate. This agreement, part of Oman’s Vision 2040, aims to expand
the country's mining sector and optimize natural resource utilization. The concession area, covering approximately 747 square kilometers, is rich in geological diversity and mineral resources. The agreement includes a two to three-year exploration program involving topographical, geochemical, and geophysical surveys, with investments exceeding RO1.5 million. The project is expected to enhance local expertise and attract high-quality investments.
