PSEG Long Island operates under a long-term contract with the Long Island Power Authority and is a subsidiary of Public Service Enterprise Group Inc. (PSEG), a diversified energy company.
Why It's Important?
The recognition of lineworkers underscores the vital role they play in ensuring the stability and reliability of the electric grid, which is crucial for both residential and commercial activities. Their work is especially significant in times of natural disasters when power restoration becomes a critical need.
