Rev. Robert 'Bob' G. Mair, a prominent figure in Chicago's North Shore religious community, has passed away at the age of 86. Mair, who served as pastor emeritus of St. Catherine Labouré Catholic Church in Glenview, dedicated decades to serving parishes
in Wilmette, Skokie, and Evanston. His death was confirmed by Rev. Isaac Lara, a close friend and fellow pastor, who described Mair as a beloved preacher whose sermons attracted many. Mair retired in 2009 but remained active in the community, frequently visiting St. Catherine Labouré to celebrate mass. Born in Chicago in 1939, Mair was ordained in 1965 and served in various parishes before settling at St. Catherine Labouré in 2000.
