The Boston Bruins hosted Hockey Fights Cancer Night at TD Garden on October 23, during their game against the Anaheim Ducks. The event, presented by Mass General Brigham, incorporated lavender, a color symbolizing cancer awareness, into various aspects
of the game. Bruins coaches and broadcasters wore lavender pins, and fans were encouraged to fill out 'I Fight For' cards to honor those affected by cancer. Emma Robertson, a 15-year-old cancer patient, performed the ceremonial puck drop. The Bruins Foundation made a $100,000 donation to name a patient room at Mass General Brigham for Children, featuring a Bruins-themed mural. Additionally, the Foundation awarded a $5,000 grant to Zip With Us®, a nonprofit providing adaptive clothing for medically complex children. An online auction for autographed Hockey Fights Cancer jerseys was held, benefiting the Foundation.
