What's Happening?
Echodyne has been announced as the primary radar system provider for Trust Automation's rapidly deployable small unmanned air defense system (RD-SUADS). This development follows Trust Automation's USD490
million contract with the U.S. Air Force for counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) capabilities. The RD-SUADS, equipped with Echodyne's EchoShield radars, can detect, classify, and track unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from 3 to 4.5 kilometers away. The system is designed for both rapidly deployable and fixed site versions. The announcement was made by Echodyne's vice president of marketing, Leo McCloskey, confirming the integration of up to four EchoShield radars in the system.
