Babcock International Group has launched the Maritime Partnership Programme (MPP) in Jakarta, in collaboration with the British Embassy and the British Chamber of Commerce Indonesia. This initiative aims
to strengthen cooperation between the UK and Indonesia in maritime defense, industrial capability, and skills development. The program includes agreements on education, workforce development, and industrial collaboration, such as funding Chevening Scholarships for Indonesian students and establishing a university consortium. Babcock will also work with Indonesian companies on naval technology and shipbuilding.
