What's Happening?
Corinthia Hotels has announced the development of a new resort, Borgo di Perolla, in Tuscany, Italy. Set to open in 2030, the resort is a collaboration with entrepreneur Gaetano Buglisi and his BGenera Group. The project aims to create a sustainable retreat
within the 13th-century Perolla Estate, featuring sustainably managed woodland, olive groves, and vineyards. Designed by Milan-based alErta design studio, the resort will restore historic structures into a village-style retreat with 80 keys, including suites and private villas. The resort will offer a farm-to-table culinary experience, wellness spaces, and event venues, including a restored chapel.
Why It's Important?
The development of Borgo di Perolla reflects Corinthia Hotels' strategy to expand its luxury offerings in key markets, emphasizing experience-led properties. This project underscores the brand's commitment to sustainability and cultural authenticity, potentially setting a new benchmark for luxury hospitality in Tuscany. The resort's focus on local cuisine and organic farming aligns with global trends towards sustainable and experiential travel, appealing to eco-conscious tourists.
