Adventist Health has announced the launch of a new workforce development program called 'LAUNCH,' aimed at inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals. The program, which stands for 'Learning
and Understanding New Careers in Healthcare,' is designed to provide students aged 16 and up with hands-on learning, mentorship, and professional development experiences in both hospital and outpatient settings. The initiative seeks to spark interest and passion in students for healthcare careers, not just in clinical roles but across the healthcare spectrum. The first cohorts will begin in February at Adventist Health Bakersfield and Adventist Health Hanford, with plans to expand to six other hospitals and several medical offices across Central California. The program is structured into three tiers based on participants' experience and goals, and applications are open until January 4th for the first round.
