therapeutics directly to damaged cartilage. The team created an anionic nanoparticle system called 'matrix inverse targeting' (MINT), which senses biochemical changes in cartilage as OA progresses. These nanoparticles are repelled by healthy cartilage and attracted to areas where glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) are lost, allowing precise delivery of mRNA therapy.
