A tragic incident occurred in a Rego Park parking garage in Queens, New York, where a 1-year-old boy named Imron Bakhtiyorov was fatally struck by a BMW driven by a 29-year-old man. The incident took place in an apartment building's parking lot at 61-55
98th St. around 7:45 p.m. on a Saturday. The child was with his parents at the time of the accident. Despite being rushed to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, the boy could not be saved. The driver remained at the scene and, according to the New York Police Department, was not charged with a crime.
