What's Happening?
The topside and jacket structures for the Jasmund offshore substation have departed for installation in the Baltic Sea. Constructed by the HSI consortium, these structures are part of the Ostwind 3 and OST-6-1 grid expansion projects for German transmission
operator 50Hertz. The substation will connect the Windanker offshore wind farm to the onshore grid, with a planned capacity of 300 MW. The successful transit through Rotterdam marks a significant milestone in the project, showcasing the expertise and collaboration within the consortium. The installation will be carried out by Heerema Marine Contractors northeast of the island of Rügen.
