What's Happening?
The State Bank of India (SBI) plans to recruit approximately 3,500 officers to enhance its operations and service delivery. This recruitment drive includes 505 Probationary Officers (POs) and 1,300 specialist
officers for IT and cybersecurity roles. Additionally, around 3,000 circle-based officers are expected to be hired within the current financial year. SBI is also focusing on gender diversity, aiming to increase the proportion of women in its workforce to 30% over the next five years. Currently, women make up 27% of the total workforce, with 33% in frontline roles.
