A delegation of 160 young German leaders has arrived in Israel for a comprehensive program aimed at reshaping perceptions of Israel among the younger generation in Germany. The initiative, known as the Plane
Project, seeks to address the lack of awareness about Israel's modern history and multicultural society, which is often overshadowed by conflict-focused narratives on social media. The program includes high-level meetings with Israeli officials, visits to significant sites such as Yad Vashem and Jerusalem's Old City, and interactions with survivors of the Oct. 7 attack at the Nova music festival. Participants, selected by Germany's federal states, represent a diverse political spectrum, including Greens, Social Democrats, and Muslim immigrants.
