These products, produced on February 26, 2026, were distributed to Mom’s Organic Markets in Washington, D.C., Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. The contamination was discovered following consumer complaints about metal fragments in the beef. Although no injuries or illnesses have been reported, the FSIS warns that consuming the contaminated beef could pose a risk of injury. The product is no longer available in stores, but the alert aims to inform consumers who may still have the beef in their homes.
