What's Happening?
On April 15, 2026, Argentina's INVAP delivered two RPA-200M aerial surveillance radars to the Argentine Army. These radars, purchased by the Argentine Ministry of Defence in 2022 for USD 23 million, include spares, training, and a simulator. The RPA-200M radars are set
to replace the older Cardion AN/TPS-44 Alert MK II systems from the 1980s. The RPA-200M is a three-dimensional mobile radar capable of detecting and tracking over a thousand targets simultaneously, featuring advanced technologies such as Doppler processing, digital beamforming, and machine learning capabilities.
