What's Happening?
Rodrigo Lopes de Almeida, the Brazilian Agricultural Attaché at the Embassy of Brazil in Pretoria, is set to speak at the African Farming Agri-Development Imbizo 2026. With over 13 years of experience in agricultural public policy and international cooperation,
Almeida will bring his expertise to the event, which aims to accelerate the growth of South Africa's new generation of commercial farmers. The Imbizo, scheduled for March 26-27 at Time Square Hotel in Pretoria, will gather over 200 participants, including farmers, agribusiness entrepreneurs, and policymakers, to discuss strategies for aligning resources and strengthening partnerships in the agricultural sector.
Why It's Important?
The African Farming Agri-Development Imbizo 2026 represents a significant opportunity for stakeholders in the agricultural sector to collaborate and share knowledge. By focusing on the development of black commercial agriculture, the event seeks to address historical inequalities and promote economic growth within the sector. Almeida's participation underscores the importance of international cooperation in addressing global agricultural challenges, such as sustainability and food security. The event's outcomes could lead to enhanced agricultural practices, increased investment, and improved livelihoods for farmers in South Africa.
