Ant International has announced the integration of iris authentication into its GlassPay smart glasses payment solution on the Alipay platform. This new technology aims to enhance payment security and improve the shopping experience by complementing existing
biometric verification methods. Developed in collaboration with smart glasses manufacturers Xiaomi and Meizu, the iris authentication feature has completed its initial testing phase in Hong Kong. The system uses AI and 'Liveness Detection' technology to detect fraud attempts and ensure identification is not affected by varying light conditions.
