Oregon has experienced a decrease in the number of accepted disabling workers' compensation claims in 2024, despite an increase in statewide employment. According to the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services, the state recorded 21,749 accepted disabling claims,

Private-sector workers made up 86.7% of all accepted disabling claims, and 40% of claims were from workers in their first year on the job. The average age of claimants was 41, with male workers filing 61% of all disabling claims.
