The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has launched a six-week consultation to review two critical workplace safety regulations: the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) and the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR). This consultation, which began on October 1, aims to gather evidence from industry stakeholders, professional bodies, and technical experts to assess whether these regulations remain effective in light of technological advancements, such as hydrogen technology. The review is part of a targeted approach to regulatory reform, ensuring safety standards are maintained without imposing unnecessary burdens on businesses.
