A dancer at the Nantong Forest Safari Park near Shanghai was engulfed in flames during a live performance. The incident occurred when the dancer's red dress caught fire shortly after she began a traditional Chinese fire dance. The performance was intended
to be conducted safely between two lit hoops, but the flames quickly spread up her dress. In a desperate attempt to extinguish the fire, the dancer ran towards a nearby river, reaching the water approximately 11 seconds after her dress ignited. Fortunately, the dancer was not seriously injured, and zoo officials have not confirmed whether this segment of the show will continue in the future.
