Khulna Shipyard Limited, under the guidance of the Bangladesh Navy, is actively working on 20 shipbuilding projects, including Landing Craft Tanks and other vessels for government organizations. The shipyard,
once a loss-making entity, has become a profitable and internationally recognized facility since its management was transferred to the Bangladesh Navy in 1999. The projects include the construction of three Landing Craft Tanks, a search and rescue vessel, tugboats, dredgers, and other specialized vessels. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to reduce dependence on imports and enhance domestic shipbuilding capabilities.
