What's Happening?
NASA's Langley Research Center is seeking proposals from industry to provide spacecraft, launch, integration, and mission operations services for the Geostationary Littoral Imaging and Monitoring Radiometer (GLIMR) mission. This mission involves a hyperspectral
ocean-color sensor designed to operate from geostationary Earth orbit, providing high-frequency measurements of coastal and ocean regions. The selected contractor will be responsible for designing, integrating, and testing the GLIMR spacecraft and ground segment, as well as providing launch and mission operations support. The mission aims to study ecological, biogeochemical, and physical processes, including phytoplankton blooms and oil spills.
