Dekeya Grandy, a 34-year-old resident of West Warwick, Rhode Island, has been arrested on charges related to the theft of property valued at over $10,000. According to the Rhode Island State Police, Grandy is accused of obtaining the property through
false pretenses or personation, accessing a computer for fraudulent purposes, and fraudulently obtaining more than $500 in public assistance. The arrest took place at approximately 4 p.m. on Wednesday. Following her surrender at the state police headquarters, Grandy was processed and arraigned. She was subsequently released with a notice to appear in court.
