What's Happening?
Governor Kathy Hochul, in collaboration with the NYNJ Host Committee, has announced the distribution of 500 free tickets to the FIFA World Cup 2026 for New Yorkers. These tickets will be allocated to working families with children, first responders, and
military families through the Alliance of New York State YMCAs and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. The initiative aims to make the World Cup experience more accessible to economically disadvantaged groups. Each ticket includes a free round-trip shuttle bus ticket to the New York New Jersey Stadium. The tickets were secured with the support of Uber, and the distribution will occur through YMCAs in New York City, Long Island, and Westchester and Rockland counties.
