Born in 1938, George was a beloved father of four and a devoted husband. He grew up in Wilmington, Delaware, and was an alumnus of Tower Hill School and Yale University. George shared over 40 years with his first wife, Gwendolyn Rendall, before her passing in 2002. In 2004, he married Susan Fauth Cross and moved to Grand Blanc, where he spent the last 21 years of his life. Known for his love of jazz, baseball, and Civil War history, George was a cherished member of his community. He is survived by his wife, children, stepchildren, and grandchildren. The family has requested donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or local libraries in lieu of flowers.
