What's Happening?
Revisn, a boutique executive apartment brand in Raleigh, North Carolina, has significantly reduced check-in times by implementing Mews, a leading hospitality operating system. This change has allowed Revisn to
cut check-in times by up to 85%, from the traditional 15-20 minutes to just two minutes. The adoption of Mews has enabled Revisn to offer a fully front-desk-free model, where more than 80% of guests use digital keys via the Revisn Residence Connect app. This system provides instant access to apartments, enhancing guest autonomy and streamlining operations. Revisn, operated by Welcome Holdings, offers 48 fully furnished executive residences designed for extended stays, combining the amenities of a boutique hotel with the privacy of home.
Why It's Important?
The implementation of Mews at Revisn represents a significant shift in the hospitality industry towards automation and technology-driven solutions. By reducing check-in times and eliminating the need for a physical front desk, Revisn is able to optimize staffing and reduce manual processes, which can lead to cost savings and increased efficiency. This model is particularly appealing to long-stay professionals, such as corporate employees and project managers, who value independence and convenience. The success of this model could influence other hospitality providers to adopt similar technologies, potentially transforming the industry standard for guest experiences.
What's Next?
Revisn plans to expand its operations by launching a second property in Brier Creek near RDU Airport in 2026, which will also utilize the Mews system. This expansion indicates confidence in the model's success and suggests a growing trend towards tech-enabled hospitality solutions. As more properties adopt similar systems, there may be increased competition in the extended-stay market, prompting further innovations in guest services and operational efficiency.
