What's Happening?
HOTREC, a prominent association in the hospitality sector, has announced a five-month internship opportunity in Brussels, running from March to July 2026. The internship is designed to support HOTREC's advocacy efforts within the European Union. Key responsibilities
include monitoring EU legislative proposals affecting the hospitality sector, assisting in the development and implementation of advocacy strategies, supporting meetings and events, and managing EU-funded projects. Applicants are required to have a university degree, familiarity with European politics and policy, and proficiency in English. The internship is full-time and falls under the Belgian 'Convention d’Immersion Professionnelle,' which includes an allowance. Interested candidates must submit their applications by January 23, 2026.
Why It's Important?
This internship offers a unique opportunity for individuals interested in European policymaking and the hospitality sector. By participating, interns will gain valuable experience in advocacy and policy development within the EU context. This experience is particularly relevant given the complex regulatory environment affecting the hospitality industry, which is a significant economic sector in Europe. The skills and insights gained through this internship could enhance career prospects in both the public and private sectors, particularly in roles related to policy analysis, advocacy, and international relations.
What's Next?
Candidates interested in the internship must submit their CV and motivation letter to Mr. Vipin Mehra by the specified deadline. Successful applicants will be involved in various advocacy activities and projects, providing them with hands-on experience in EU legislative processes. This could lead to further opportunities within HOTREC or similar organizations, as well as in broader EU policy and hospitality sectors.
