The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has announced a long-term agreement with Boingo Wireless to upgrade and expand 5G and Wi-Fi networks across its properties, including airports, PATH stations,
and the Midtown Bus Terminal. This initiative aims to improve passenger experience by providing high-performance connectivity. The agreement, approved by the Port Authority's Board of Commissioners, will run through 2038, with an option to extend to 2043. Boingo's partnership with the Port Authority dates back to 1999, and the new agreement will continue to offer free services to the public.
