What's Happening?
The F-35 fighter jet's engine is set for a significant upgrade, known as the Engine Core Upgrade (ECU), which will face a critical design review in August. This upgrade aims to enhance the F-35's existing F135 engines, manufactured by Pratt & Whitney,
by increasing thrust and cooling capabilities. These improvements are necessary to support the F-35's extensive Block 4 upgrades and future enhancements.
