Francis Oda, a distinguished architect and community leader, has died at the age of 84. Oda was a cofounder of the design firm G70 and played a pivotal role in numerous architectural projects across Hawaii and beyond. His work included the design of the Four
Seasons resorts on Lānaʻi and the Hanauma Bay Nature Center. Oda was also a pastor and served as the chair of the Hawaii Public Radio board in 2021. He passed away surrounded by family, and a celebration of life is planned for April.
