What's Happening?
Frederick Franklin Sears Sr., a veteran of the U.S. Air Force who served during the Korean War, has passed away. He was a devoted husband to the late Eleanor Bilecki and a father to six children. Sears had a long career in education, teaching for 27 years
at Gage Park, Kelly, and Dunbar High Schools. He also served as the principal of Wendell Smith Elementary from 1982 to 1992. A remembrance and wake will be held at Beverly Ridge Funeral Home, followed by a Mass at Sacred Heart Mission Church. The family has chosen to keep the interment private.
