What's Happening?
The 2026 Westminster Dog Show commenced on Monday at Madison Square Garden, featuring group judging for the Hound, Toy, Non-Sporting, and Herding Groups. The event saw Zaida, an Afghan Hound, winning the Hound Group, while Cookie, a Maltese, triumphed
in the Toy Group. JJ, a Lhasa Apso, emerged victorious in the Non-Sporting Group, and Graham, an Old English Sheepdog, won the Herding Group. Each group had numerous entries, with the Rhodesian Ridgeback and Pomeranian being the most represented breeds in their respective groups. The winners will advance to compete for the Best in Show title.
