What's Happening?
The Cal Poly Universities float, titled 'Jungle Jumpstart,' won the Sweepstakes Award for the most beautiful entry at the 137th Rose Parade. This float, a collaborative effort by students from Cal Poly campuses
in San Luis Obispo and Pomona, was the only student-designed and built entry in the parade. The float featured a 40-foot robot being repaired by rainforest animals, symbolizing teamwork and the integration of nature and technology. The theme of this year's parade was 'The Magic in Teamwork,' and the float's design illustrated the harmonious relationship between the jungle's inhabitants and the robot.
