Leapmotor, a Chinese automaker backed by Stellantis, has introduced its new flagship SUV, the D19, signaling its entry into the premium electric vehicle (EV) market. The D19 is a full-size, six-seat model
equipped with dual Qualcomm Snapdragon 8797 chips. This vehicle represents Leapmotor's first foray into the higher-end market, priced between CN¥250,000 and CN¥300,000 (approximately US$34,000 to US$41,000). Previously, the company focused on the mid-market segment with vehicles priced between CN¥100,000 and CN¥150,000. Deliveries of the D19 are expected to commence in the first half of 2026.
