WATG, a leader in luxury hospitality design, has completed the renovation of Lagen Island Resort in El Nido, Philippines. The project, in collaboration with Ayala Land Hospitality, emphasizes a preservation-first approach, integrating local design narratives
and the island's natural topography. The resort features 42 water villas and forest rooms, a spa, a sunset bar, and more, all designed to minimize environmental impact. The design incorporates traditional Filipino craftsmanship, using locally sourced materials and techniques such as weaving and carving, to celebrate the region's cultural heritage.
