What's Happening?
Israel has introduced a mobile climate laboratory in Kenya, aimed at addressing the lack of reliable climate data across Africa. Operated by the Weizmann Institute of Science, the lab is stationed at the International Livestock Research Institute in Machakos
County. It is equipped with over 30 scientific instruments to measure various environmental variables. The initiative seeks to improve the accuracy of climate models by providing ground-based data, which is currently scarce in Africa. This project is expected to enhance policy decisions related to climate change and environmental management.
